So me and my team decided that we were gona need a logo to go on either the front cover or back cover of the book once it gets printed.

Heres a rough idea I came up with.

I think its working so far, the idea is definitely there.

Page One inks for my Space Pirate comic!

I've been steadily getting some work done for the Intergalactic Babes Project, and I'm happy to present you with some final inks from my comic! Here's page one. The title card at the top is still blank as I'm trying to figure out the final name for the comic. It's so hard to come up with creative, fun titles, but I know whenever I do figure it out, it'll be worth all the time I've been brainstorming. I hope!

Anyway, I've got several other pages in the final ink stages, and maybe, just maybe, I'll share one or two more with you, as the kickstarter approaches. But, we'll see! In the meantime, continue sending your support for the project, or ask Mr. PM about contributing. And when the kickstarter gets here, send us some monetary support, too!

With this teaser page done from my story, I can now focus solely on creating and editing video for the Kickstarter.  Soon, that will be up and running and the project will be in full effect then.

Another Potential

Hey there everyone. 

Wanted to update you on the project as we keep plugging along.

We've got a new potential contributor to the project.  The very talented Curtsibling.

I'm in love with this guys style, it just oozes this great underground, pop rocks style that leaps back in time to come from a bygone and forgotten era.  His use of black placement is unparalled too.  I'm really excited to have him on the project.

I'm working on my 'pencils' right now. That's the stage where I draw everything as cleanly (it's not what it sounds like!) as my hot little fingers can, so that when I get to inking this bad boy there's no constructive decisions left to make- just smooth sexy ink to lay down.

Camera

So I tracked down a camera for us to shoot our kickstarter video with.  Its a DVX 100 panasonic.  I know nothing about cameras and shooting video, but thankfully I've got someone who is extremely proficient with this exact model to help us out.  Great! =D

FYI Apparently this is the same camera used to shoot one of my favorite shows, Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

My Porno Life Featurette!

Hey guys, had a talk with the very generous and all around cool admin over at www.mpltoons.com and he agreed to give us a feature on his great website.

I really like what he does over there and I feel hes an excellent promoter for these kinds of projects.  I feel hes a good pillar in the adult comics industry...a shining beacon of hope in an otherwise dark and...uh...well, maybe im being dramatic BUT I still really appreciate what hes doing for us. = D check out the article at http://mpltoons.com/the-intergalactic-babes-project/ and show him some love as well.

just getting started!

My story is about a sexy, lonely space captain's experience ordering a sexbot for the first time. That simple, you ask? Well, yes! It's about as simple as sex. (heh.) AND as magical. I promise, baby~

He're some character designs of the disgustingly attractive cast I'm working with:

Captain Hotpants is up there in the top 'row', smoldering-yet-sleazy Delivery Dude is over there on the left, and the sexxxxbot herrself is down in the right-hand corner.

The sexbot was a little bit hard for me (wink wink~) because she needs to be hot to trot AND obviously a robot. Add that to the exquisite history of sexual robots in comics (talking to you, Chobits and Sky Doll!) and this design proved to be quite a tough nut to crack (oh you...)

I ended up giving her 'rings' around her neck, wrists, and ankles to subtly enforce the idea of ownership, and then I decided to change her ears to a simple oval shape (homage to those other sexy sexy robots!) as well as give her some sort of facial marking to make it really clear that this one is a bit different.

Which facial markings do you like best? I'm partial to the heart, because it's saccharine as hell and who doesn't love that, but the 'goggle' shaped ones have a certain sci-fi appeal as well.

Oh, how to decide!~

Pirates in Space!

The theme of the anthology is pretty cut and dry: Intergalactic Space Babes. As a fan of both space and babes, I felt compelled to submit something fun to the project. The general idea that I had for my comic was a pirate spaceship captures a research vessel, which, of course, doesn't go according to plan.

I'll be posting updates here periodically as I continue to work on the comic. I work pretty much entirely in traditional methods. I make my thumbnails, that turn into roughs. The roughs I tighten up to ink, and then I've got my completed page. The above and below images are pencils, which I'll be inking in the future with a brush. All part of the fun process of page creation!

I'm really excited for this project as I feel that adult comics are a pretty viable place for artists to make some money and potentially earn a living. The adult comic market is pretty non-existent, and I think the internet shows us there's definitely an audience for this type of work. The anthology really represents an excellent opportunity for adult comics to be done with quality and handled in a professional manner. There's a lot of talented people making a living doing adult themed work, and it would be nice to see something like this anthology offer a quality product that showcases talented artists and storytellers. 

I'll wrap up my first post with a teaser image of my still unnamed pirate captain. I hope you enjoy her as much as I do! She's really fun to draw.

You'll notice in that first panel a shot of the cruise ship.  I had the idea that the whole thing would be sort of bug like, where the ship sort of towed a big globe behind it that housed all the decks.  It would look like a death star being dragged around in space. Only...ya know, a cruise ship.

Pleasure Cruise

So...

I've begun work on my story for the project.  I had a lot of inspiration on this.  Mostly from the incredible Masamune Shirow... at least when it came to designing some of my sexy space suits.

I was flipping through his first book,  Intro Depot and I saw all this really cool shear fabric stuff.

I draw on a lot of places for inspiration too, such as Sky Doll and Evangelion is a HUGE one too.

My story is about a man and a woman that are late for a space pleasure cruise vacation.  They arrive at the ticket counter just in time but wind up having to share an "Econo-pod"  together.  To make things more embarrassing for them, the only space suits available for them are staff suits that are meant for the "Pleasure Deck" on the cruise.  Needless to say they are skimpy as hell.

I think you can guess where this is going =p

But there's a great twist at the end.  It's really cute and funny too.

One thing you may notice (its pretty obvious actually so what am I saying) is that the suit for the woman is designed to make her look like a bunny and the mans suit has wolf like ears on the helmet.
